Step #1: Initial Physical Performance Evaluation*
First, I need to personally evaluate the key, golf-specific physical factors that are interfering most with your desired golf swing performance potential.
Like many golfers, you may be looking to improve your golf swing performance potential with greater:
- Consistency
- Accuracy
- Swing speed and/or
- Distance
Therefore, after our discussion concerning your current golf performance levels and your future goals, I will take you through a comprehensive initial physical evaluation that includes objective measurements of your:
- Posture
- Balance
- Flexibility
- Core and Extremity Strength
- Joint Stability
- Endurance
- Golf-Specific Functional Mobility
- Swing Speed
Also, if you have any complaints of stiffness or pain during or after golf, my evaluation will help to identify the key structural components in your body that are most likely causing the dysfunctional swing motions and compensations contributing to your symptoms.
*Note: Initial physical evaluations and program designs for junior golfers (<18 years of age) will only be performed when the junior golfer is accompanied by their parent(s) or designated guardian.
Step #2: Customized Program Design
Once your Initial Physical Performance Evaluation is completed, I will design your comprehensive, fully customized, golf-specific, fitness training program.
Your customized golf fitness training program will be designed to efficiently target the physical, structural and mechanical elements of your body.
Conditioning and improving your individual physical abilities, when fully integrated with the other essential golf performance factors (professional golf instruction, custom-fit equipment, and golf-specific mental coaching) will help you achieve your specific performance goals and total wellness objectives.
I will design your golf fitness training program to easily fit your 'on' and 'off' the golf course time demands. And, most importantly, once there is a mutual agreement that a Callaway Golf Fitness training program is right for you, I will make sure to design a program that's affordable to you.
Step 3: Program Delivery and Upgrades
This step is where the fun begins! Sure, there will be some hard work involved.
After all, nothing really worthwhile is ever easy! Right?
But, rest assured, your Callaway Golf Fitness customized, golf-specific posture, balance, flexibility, strength and conditioning exercises will be designed and sequenced in such a way that you will experience ...
very rapid changes ... with your body ... and in your swing!
And that's a lot of fun!
Because the physical and mechanical changes can happen so quickly and consistently, regular modifications and upgrades in your golf fitness training program are a natural and necessary part of your customized program.
So, I spend a few minutes at the beginning of each session evaluating your progress from the previous session, asking questions and handling any challenges or confusions you may have about your program ... and to make sure that your golf fitness exercises remain streamlined to your specific needs ... especially to your individual rate of progression.
I know that making the appropriate adjustments, clarifications and corrections in your program before moving forward into the new session provides you with the very best and safest results!
And, at the end of each supervised session, I will give you a specific physical and swing performance target (to be re-evaluated at the next session) that will be accomplished as a result of doing the independent, home exercise routine provided.
Throughout your customized golf fitness training program, I will provide you with clearly written, pictured exercise handouts and custom video clips to assist you with mastering your exercises during your independent 'in home' work-out sessions.
